Web Site Set Up and Maintenance Services

We build smart web sites with ASP.Net and Visual Basic.Net. A smart web site can be tied to one or more databases and an Acrobat document (.pdf) builder. For example, if you are in the business of selling information, a customer can select the unique set of information that he wants, and the smart web application will assemble the information from databases into a .pdf file which will be placed on the web site for downloading. Of course provision can be made for the customer to pay for this product online (we recommend PayPal for online payments).

Windows and Web Application Programming Services

We can design complete Windows Application Programs, using Visual Basic.Net or Visual Basic 6, with database support from Access or MySQL. Ordinarily, VB.Net will be better as an application can be developed faster and maintained more easily in that version of the language. Some applications we have done are:

  • An application that produced complex reports in the office on the basis of scannable forms filled out in the field by inspectors.

  • A drawing program which allowed the easy production of graphics that were difficult to produce using the all-purpose drawing program, CorelDraw.

  • In the works now is a system for replacing an all-paper system with a laptop/office computer system. Instead of re-typing (or handwriting) customer information 8 to 20 times and work order information 3 or 4 times, all information is entered once and reused, while all forms will be sent by wire instead of hand-carried back to the office. This was a company that was still operating in the 50's that has just been acquired by a new owner.

  • A person wanted a system which would allow him to display details of a competition he was running with his friends. They had the details in a database which needs frequent updating. The advantages of VB.Net allow this kind of programming to be done very cheaply, so that a person can get a personalized database program for little more than a commercial program with the same features, except he would never be able to find such a thing.
